The primary goal of the catechetical program at Saint Michael Parish is to assist families in the spiritual formation of their children. This goal is best achieved when there is cooperation and communication among families, the parish and the Religious Education program. Together, we are members of the Saint Michael Parish Family, members of the Body of Christ and living signs of His presence in the world. As a community that shares this responsibility and celebration, we seek to reflect the love of Christ.
Please see our Family Handbook for information about our program
We are pleased to introduce “Massports” for children in grades 1-5. As Mass is the source and summit of our faith, we hope Massports help encourage consistent Mass attendance for families.
Bring your Massport to Mass each week and an usher will gladly provide the week’s stamp or sticker. Bring your Massport to class each week, too, as a reminder that Mass helps us grow in our faith. Children should add their name to the cover and color the pictures to make it their own.
Vatican II has affirmed parents as the first and most important faith formers for their children. For it is in the family that faith matures and active faith begins.
